Dr. LaJuana Calegan
Dr. LaJuana M. Calegan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She discovered her passion for dentistry during high school, working as a pediatric dental assistant for several years. While earning her Biology degree at the University of New Orleans, she worked as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. After college, Dr. Calegan was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2006, as LaJuana C. Ravens, D.M.D. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the U.S. Navy in Okinawa, Japan.
Dr. Calegan is honored to meet all the dental needs of you and your family. She enjoys providing the highest quality of dental care with a friendly, relaxing approach. She takes time to listen to patients’ concerns and explain procedures so that her patients are well informed and comfortable. She is also skilled at framing a smile with Botox® and dermal fillers to restore a natural, youthful appearance.
Dr. Calegan is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She also obtained certifications from Invisalign® and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
She is the mother of two active boys and enjoys all things outdoors.
Dr. Justin Cifuni
Dr. Justin Cifuni specializes in periodontal and implant dentistry. He earned his DMD from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors, magna cum laude. He also attended BU for his specialization training in periodontology.
In addition to being a practicing dentist and periodontist, Dr. Cifuni has been a clinical associate professor at BU’s Department of Periodontology and a tutor at the university’s School of Medicine Biochemistry and Physiology. He also obtained certification in numerous dental and health techniques, including sedation, laser dentistry, and Botox and dermal fillers.
Dr. Cifuni has received numerous awards and honors, including the Stallard Award, Enhancement of the Periodontology Program; Morris Ruben Scholarship in Periodontology; Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society; and BU School of Dental Medicine’s Excellence in Academic and Overall Achievement. At Merrimack College, where he earned his undergraduate degree, he was a Presidential Scholar and graduated magna cum laude.
Outside of work, Dr. Cifuni is a film buff who stays busy with baseball, golf, fishing, weight-lifting.
Dr. Rebecca Robinson
Dr. Robinson earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was a frequent member of the Dean’s List. She also served as a Student Teaching Assistant at Tufts’ School of Dental Medicine, which allowed her to develop her abilities as mentor.
Prior to graduating from dental school, Dr. Robinson attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she graduated with honors. At UMass she was part of BioTAP, an invite-only program for high-achieving Biology majors, which grants them access to exclusive honors courses, mentorship from academic professionals, and more.
Patients appreciate Dr. Robinson’s thorough, personalized approach to dental care. In addition to her clinical abilities, she is skilled at explaining treatment in a way that’s easy to understand, and helping patients feel at ease. “Dentistry enables me to identify a problem and then restore the patient to full health,” she says. “I love helping people get their smile back.”
In addition to the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association, Dr. Robinson has already become involved with the Merrimack Valley and North Shore districts of the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Robinson also enjoys doing outreach and volunteer work. “Part of what drew me to Future of Dentistry is the practice’s dedication to the community,” she says. “I look forward to having more opportunities to give back.”
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Robinson has ties to both our Dracut and Wakefield communities. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, beach volleyball and spending time with her boyfriend and two cats.
Dr. Laura Rushford
Dr. Rushford was born and raised in the North Shore of Boston and attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine for her DMD degree. She continued on at Harvard for her specialty training, earning a certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Medical Sciences degree in Oral Biology. While at Harvard, Dr. Rushford was awarded the Whip Mix Corporation – Hanau Award in Prosthodontics and was the first recipient of the Pelletier Family Fellowship in Prosthodontics. She enjoys being involved in predoctoral education and serving as an Admissions Committee member at Harvard.
Before her dental training, Dr. Rushford attended Northeastern University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, she began working as a process development engineer but quickly realized that she wanted to transition into the world of dentistry. Her early exposure to the healthcare field while working as a Cancer Center Nursing Assistant and having supportive dentists since the age of 2 inspired her to change career paths.
Dr. Rushford is specialized in advanced restorative and esthetic dentistry, performs all aspects of general dentistry, and is Invisalign certified. She was trained by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics to administer Botulinum Toxin and to diagnose and treat orofacial pain, clenching, and bruxism.
In her free time, she enjoys community outreach, traveling, running, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. James Lin
Dr. James Lin is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He then received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
His passion for dentistry comes from a love of combining art and science. His goal is well aligned with Future of Dentistry’s model of care – where every patient is treated with the highest level of care and compassion to achieve optimal oral health and overall health.
In order to provide the highest level of care and staying up to date with new techniques, Dr. Lin is an active member of Spear Education – where dentists come together and collaborate on the most complex of cases – and takes over 100 hours of continuing education a year. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
In his time away from dentistry, Dr. Lin enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling and most importantly – finding new fishing holes.
