Restoring Teeth At Future of Dentistry

Tooth Restoration in WakefieldAt Future of Dentistry we use a variety of processes to restore damaged teeth. Most dental patients are familiar with fillings. Traditional fillings are also called ‘direct restorations’ because they are applied to the tooth and then shaped and polished in one visit.

Another type of filling is called an ‘indirect restoration’ and is produced in a dental lab. There are two types: inlays and onlays.

Other restorative procedures include:

  • Dental implants. An implant is a titanium post inserted into the jaw, where it fuses with the bone. One implant can support one artificial tooth. Several can support dentures.
  • Dental crowns. These are tooth-shaped caps that are used to strengthen and improve the structure of a tooth.
  • Bridges. A dental bridge is a tooth replacement procedure in which an artificial tooth is anchored on either side of a gap, to “bridge” the area where there are missing teeth.

Whether the damage is caused by decay, injury, bite problems, or natural wear, restorative dentistry from Future of Dentistry can address your needs. We also have a full range of general and family dentistry services. Call our office to schedule an appointment today!
