Benefits Of Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions are always performed with your overall health in mind. There are benefits to having a tooth pulled, including:

  • Prevention of decay and infection: Sometimes the best way to keep a problem from spreading is to eliminate it right where it took root. Tooth extraction can be the best way to ensure the continued safety and health of all your teeth.
  • Providing adequate space: An overcrowded mouth can come with a slew of its own problems and complications, such as greater risk of injury, infection, or wear to protrusive or misaligned teeth. Extracting some of the excess teeth can drastically improve your ability to brush and floss thoroughly.
  • Relief from pain and difficulty: Having a tooth pulled can be the most efficient way to eliminate pain, restore full functionality to the mouth, and correct certain speech or eating difficulties.

Whatever the reason for a tooth extraction, you can rest assured that we’ve considered all your options and are proceeding with what is best for both your oral and overall health. As always, feel free to call us or visit our office to ask your questions.

Do not wait until your symptoms get worse. If you think you might need a tooth extraction, then immediately call Future Of Dentistry in Wakefield at (781) 245-2299 to schedule an urgent tooth extraction appointment.

Feeling Nervous About Tooth Extractions?

Anxiety-Free Tooth Extractions

If the very thought of a tooth extraction fills you with dread, we can provide a plethora of personalized comfort menu options to make your experience a soothing one.

Talk to us about any anxiety you are feeling, so we can tell you what we offer in our office to help you feel calm and relaxed during your appointment.

One of the benefits of tooth extraction is that it can be completed quickly right in our office. While every procedure is different, simple tooth extractions are usually completed in under an hour.

Simple Healing

The healing process from a tooth extraction is fairly straightforward. Your dentist will explain what to expect as you heal from your procedure, but we recommend taking it easy for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, let your body be your guide and proceed with your normal routine as soon as you feel comfortable. You will be provided with verbal and written post-op instructions to refer to during your quick recovery process.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Your wisdom teeth are an extra set of molars that typically grow in between the ages of 17 and 25. Although these wisdom teeth were useful at one time, we no longer need them.

Wisdom tooth removal is the most common type of extraction procedure we perform at Future Of Dentistry in Wakefield. Having a wisdom tooth pulled can relieve overcrowding. In this case, tooth extraction protects your other teeth from uneven wear and other forms of damage.

We can even remove wisdom teeth that have become impacted, which is when a wisdom tooth grows at an odd angle or becomes trapped beneath the gums. Rather than referring you to a specialist of some sort, we can perform impacted wisdom teeth removal here in our office.

If you are searching for an anxiety-free and painless tooth extraction experience, then look no further than Future Of Dentistry, serving Wakefield, Melrose, Lynnfield, and beyond! Call (781) 245-2299 to schedule your wisdom tooth extraction appointment in Wakefield today.

I can't say enough about everyone here! Friendly, helpful, and just accomodating... I won't mention their 5 star faces..... thats an understatement...😊 But can I tell you that Dr.Robinson/ Sacchetti is the most AMAZING dentist!!! I have been told by MANY dentists before Dr. Robinson , that they were NOT able to offer the work she did for me!!! I am SO BLESSED to know her and be treated with such perfection!! Come here and you'll be CONVINCED! She better come back from Oregon!! 😉🎀💝

Had a really pleasant experience on my first visit. It was difficult seeing a new dentist after my dentist of 20 years retired. The Crew at Future of Dentistry was polite and professional. The dental assistant, Lisa, that provided service was outstanding from x-rays to assisting the doctor through my procedure. Dr. Doumouras was intelligent and a master at his craft. This was an incredibly good experience and I highly recommend this outfit to become your permanent dentist office.
